Celebrate Australia Day at the Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron with a fun-filled day for the whole family! Join us from 12pm to 6pm for a festive event featuring live music, raffles raising money for Sailability, a BBQ, and prizes for the best-dressed attendees. Kids will love the jumping castle and face painting, while the bigger kids can enjoy ice-cold refreshments with waterfront views. Don’t miss out on this special celebration—come and be a part of the fun!
Coastal Navigation Course

Enhance your navigation skills with the Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron's 2-day Coastal Navigation Course on 15th and 16th February 2025, developed by the Coast Guard NQ Squadron for CCYS members. Learn the fundamentals of chart reading, position plotting, PNC and ENC navigation methods, and much more. Running from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the course is priced at $200 per person. Pirate Party

Ahoy there, mateys! Arrrrr you ready for the CCYS Pirate Party this Saturday, 3rd May? Well get set for a treasure trove of fun for the whole family! Come dressed in your finest pirate gear for a chance to snag the bounty in our best dressed competition. Dance to live music that'll keep the party spirit alive, and feast on delicious food and cold drinks for all the hungry scallywags and thirsty seadogs. So polish your peg legs, grab your crew, and join us for a day of swashbuckling fun. We’ll see you there!
