Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron offers the best boating facilities in Cairns and a friendly atmosphere where lifelong members and first time visitors are made to feel equally welcome

Joining CCYS is a great way to meet with friends and also other members in the sailing community. Whether you are arriving by boat or car we have facilities for both, with ample car parking, courtesy berth, and a dinghy pontoon for your convenience.

Members receive a discount at both the bar and bistro, open Tuesday through to Sunday.

We have an undercover members BBQ area for those who would like to have an outdoor dining experience with friends and family.

If you don’t want to cart things backwards and forwards from your boat to land there are Storage lockers for rent at a reasonable yearly rate.

CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP

Full Member

shall be a person over the age of 18 years who shall be entitled to take part in the management of CCYS and to vote at meetings and who shall be entitled to all the privileges and subject to all the obligations of CCYS membership

Family Member

shall be a single family unit consisting of 2 persons over the age of 18 years who shall be entitled to take part in the management of CCYS and to vote at meetings and who shall be entitled to all the privileges and subject to all the obligations. Family memberships shall include children up to 18 years of age, but such children shall have no voting or management rights.

Associate Crew Member

shall be a person over the age of 18 years who shall be entitled some of the privileges as determined by the Board and subject to all the obligations of CCYS. Such associate member shall not be entitled to take part in the management of CCYS and cannot vote at meetings.

Absentee Membership

is only available after 12 months of full membership and subject to conditions and approval of the Board

Temporary Member

shall be a person over the age of 18 years. Period of membership is max of 3 months, the fee includes dinghy permit sticker. Temporary Members shall not be entitled to take part in the management of CCYS and cannot vote at meetings.
